Svikriti 2025

Svikriti presents twelve of our award winners for the year 2025-2026 - Ananya Dalal, Avijit Dutta,
Ayesha Sultana Pramanik, Bikram Samanta, Gyanvant Yadav, Rachita Bhowmik, Prithwish Daw, Raunak Roy, Sangita Bose, Satyaki Dey, Shitangshu Mondol and Suman Kabiraj.

These artists traverse a common path of self exploration, negotiating the urban landscapes they inhabit. These lived-in experiences within a socio-economic-political structure often lead to a sense of nostalgia, discontentment or an urge to escape from them. Navigating these contrarieties become the central theme in each of their practices. Sometimes using wit and at others sheer irony, these become their tools in delineating the times we all live in.

Over the years, Svikriti has become a fertile ground for incubation of ideas, exchanges and friendships. The six months following the Annual exhibition culminating in this award winners’ show, are both fascinating and engaging for us - a period to deep-dive into each of their practices and seeing the possibilities they hold to a future promise.

We wish to thank our Mentors - Adip Datta, Chandra Bhattacharya, Debnath Basu, Dattatraya Apte and Saibal Das who have graciously devoted their time in guiding these awardees and lending their vital support to our Award Winners’ Mentorship Program.
